Whole School Training Programme
This is a concept that was run successfully in a primary school in Bridgwater with over 280 children. Each year/class had a 5 week block in which the students were taught up to the equivalent of the first grade of the Gokyo (curriculum).
Red belt is awarded to students who show initiative, good behaviour and who try hard (regardless of ability), the red belt is kept for a week by the winner to show friends and family and they get to help Sensei the following week - this gives the child something to strive for.
Report on is covered and the Red Belt winners are provided at the end of each block.
